Please follow these steps if you want to have Jim Sullivan try the case on behalf of your client.

  1. Look at the map below of all the Georgia counties. You will see that six counties are colored pink (Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fulton, Gwinnett, Rockdale), and six counties are colored yellow (Butts, Clayton, Coweta, Fayette, Henry, Spalding).
  2. The fee to have Jim Sullivan try a case in magistrate court representing your  client in a pink county is $1,500; the fee to have Jim try a case representing your client in a yellow county is $1,000.
  3. If you want Jim to try a case in a magistrate court outside of the designated 12 counties, contact him directly at (470) 440-3458 or jim@jbsullivanlawfirm.com.
  4. File the complaint and serve the defendant.
  5. Subpoena witnesses.
  6. Complete the form below.

    7. Email the complete case file to Jim at jim@jbsullivanlawfirm.com.

    8. Arrange for a court reporter if you want a takedown, this includes paying the court reporter.

    Once all the required steps are taken, including fee payment, Jim will then file his entry of appearance and prepare for the magistrate court trial.

    Please follow these steps if you want to have Jim Sullivan defend or take a deposition, interview a witness, or obtain an affidavit (Jim Sullivan is a notary).

    1. Look at the map of all the Georgia counties. You will see that six counties are colored pink (Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fulton, Gwinnett, Rockdale), and six counties are colored yellow (Butts, Clayton, Coweta, Fayette, Henry, Spalding).

    2. The fee to have Jim Sullivan take or defend a deposition in a pink county is $1,000; the fee to have Jim take or defend a deposition in a yellow county is $750.

    3. If you want Jim to take or defend  a deposition in a state or superior court outside of the designated 12 counties, contact him directly at (470) 440-3458 or jim@jbsullivanlawfirm.com

    4. Jim does not take or defend depositions of healthcare providers, e.g., chiropractors, doctors, nurses involved in the case.

    5. If you want Jim to  interview a witness or obtain an affidavit (Jim is a notary), the fee is $1,000 if the work is done in a pink county,  and $750 if the work is done in a yellow county.

    6. As for depositions to be taken on behalf of the plaintiff: the referring attorney must complete the following steps:  a. file and serve a notice of deposition; b. if you want a takedown, hire a court reporter; c. serve notice on the deponent; whether you include a subpoena is your decision; d. pay all costs associated with the deponent,, e.g., expert’s fee, witness’s appearance fee, mileage and parking expenses.

    7. If you want Jim to defend a deponent, e.g., plaintiff, witness, complete steps 8, 9, and 10.
